Helping You Tackle the COVID-19 Challenge

HCHB Background

March 30, 2020

While you’re out there on the front lines, we’re doing everything we can to help you provide exceptional patient care during this challenging time. Over the past few months, we’ve developed important new features and created and shared new industry best practices to help you deal with the ongoing pandemic. Here are some highlights:

NEW COVID-19 Impact Dashboard

To better manage your COVID-19 patient population, we released a COVID-19 SCREENING form in mid-March and quickly followed up with a specialized HCHB Analytics dashboard. The form included CDC-recommended diagnosis combinations and Care Types to evaluate all current/active patients as well as a breakdown by zip code, age and locations.

NEW tools for telemedicine

We’ve also teamed up with telemedicine partners to quickly ramp up virtual visits and remote monitoring for your lower acuity patients. We’ve not only streamlined the interface process, we’re providing flexible options so you can get the help you need NOW!

NEW resources for critical PPE

Early on, when PPE supplies became difficult to source, we created a PPE Suppliers Forum to begin sharing trusted supplier resources. Thanks to our entire HCHB customer community, we were able to help ensure you had the equipment you needed to stay safe and healthy. This forum is open to all HCHB Customers and has become a critical, much-needed resource.

NEW COVID-19 Information Clearinghouse

As national concern over COVID-19 has continued to grow, HCHB has equipped users with valuable information provided by a variety of trusted sources. We’re also sharing operational suggestions to help manage the virus in your patient population. For current customers, all information can be found on the COVID-19 Hub on the Customer Experience Portal.

Back Office Staffing & Support

COVID-19 has created cash flow issues for many agencies, due to back office staff shortages, increased LUPAs from patient-declined visits and claims processing issues for a record number of COVID-19 services. We ‘re here to help with staff augmentation services or complete Revenue Cycle Management. Let the HCHB team of experienced billers focus on the productivity, performance and profits of your agency, so you can focus on the patients and families that need you.

A roadmap for changing needs and innovation

Through it all, we’ve worked with a diverse group of customers to determine changing critical needs and get valuable feedback on how we’re doing. We’re already looking ahead to anticipate changing needs and empower exceptional care for the duration of this challenge.
