Homecare Homebase Releases 2024 HH Proposed Rule Model

DALLAS, TX, JULY 13, 2023 – Homecare HomebaseSM (HCHB), the leading software for home-based care has released an updated HCHB Analytics Home Health Impact Report Model, less than two weeks following CMS’ publication of the 2024 Home Health Proposed Rule. The tool helps customers quickly and accurately identify the potential impact of proposed and final Medicare reimbursement changes on their unique agencies.

Leveraging the model, HCHB has performed an aggregate analysis and has found a -2.66% impact across its customer base (representing almost 50% of all Medicare visits). This represents as more significant cut than the -2.2% estimated by CMS.

Users can gain immediate insight into how these changes will impact their business models well before the changes take effect next year. HCHB users can compare how they would be reimbursed under the proposed model versus how they are being reimbursed today. This comparison gives leaders the opportunity to understand the impact the proposed rule will have on their specific organization. The impact model breaks down reimbursement by standard periods, LUPAs and outliers, with a built-in comparison of wage index changes to give organizations the detail necessary to gather a complete picture of the expected changes.

Agencies are empowered to use this information not only for strategic planning, but for their industry advocacy efforts as well.

“Data-driven insights are the very heart of HCHB Analytics, which delivers real-time insight to inform best practices and plan strategies for long-term success” said HCHB CEO Scott Decker. “The impact reports are a vital resource that helps our customers pivot to stay ahead of proposed regulatory changes. It gives them the runway to create innovative solutions and focus on exceptional patient care.”
