I am very flattered and honored over the award. I feel it reflects on my diligence to complete documentation in a timely manner.
What is a valuable lesson you’ve learned from working in your field?
I have found that with hospice care you must be flexible and willing to go above the standard list of job duties. It is essential to have a really great team to work with, rely on and help navigate through your days while providing care to our families and patients.
What guidance or words of wisdom would you share with those who want to follow a similar path to yours?
Though this field of work can be difficult and challenging, it is the families, patients, coworkers and the stories we hear daily along with smiles we receive and hands we get to hold that make this job rewarding and worthwhile.
