Taylor Watson is a Registered Nurse with a bachelor’s degree. In addition to being a devoted nurse, she is also a devoted wife and mother. She is an active member in her church community, and she enjoys outdoor recreational activities. Taylor began working with VitalCaring over a year ago, and she has proven to be an incredible asset to the team. She strives daily to provide our patients with the best care they deserve on an individualized level. She is passionate in her documentation and utilizes all available resources/ disciplines to help her patients improve. Her keen attention to detail is her greatest strength and her eagerness to learn is evident in her daily practice. Taylor is always willing to step in to further the skills and help build confidence in her team members. She is a patient teacher and advocate and excels in promoting independence in her patients. After finishing her orientation with VitalCaring, she quickly mastered Homecare Homebase. Her documentation is timely and concise. She is able to submit her documentation in the home while delivering quality care. She continues to meet all expectations in productivity, in-home documentation, and additional documentation. Taylor is a “vital” member to our VitalCaring team! It is important to note, that Taylor has maintained her commitment to her patients and the organization during a time in which her husband who is a highway patrol officer was shot during a traffic stop. They have been through the incident, rehab, trials, all while caring for small children. She is a remarkable employee but more importantly, a remarkable wife, mother, and nurse!
What is the most fulfilling part of your role?
I feel that I have always had an eager desire to make a genuine, influential difference. After working in critical care for several years, my desire to be proactive and make an impact on others only grew stronger. With much prayerful consideration, I decided to take a leap of faith and embark on a new journey into home health. As one who strives to provide quality, patient-centered care far beyond mediocrity, I find satisfaction and great reward in breaking barriers that hinder patients from achieving optimal health management and functioning. I feel that it is critical to establish rapport and cultivate relationships with patients and their families beyond the hospital setting in order to implement effective strategies that are individualized for each patient, learning style, and environment to promote and enhance overall patient outcomes. I take pride in my role as a nurse and am grateful for the tremendous opportunities I’ve been granted through Vital Caring. An endeavor that began with a mustard seed of faith and a yearning for impactful change, ultimately led to a greater passion and purpose-filled career with patients and team members that I’ll forever cherish.
