What does being a Gold Standard Award honoree mean to you?

Being recognized as a Gold Standard Award honoree is deeply meaningful to me both personally and professionally. As an LCSW, it affirms that leading with compassion, integrity, curiosity, and a focus on continuous improvement truly makes a difference. This recognition represents my dedication to advancing social work practice and motivates me to keep advocating to ensure our perspective remains essential to care delivery, innovation, and system design.

What is a valuable lesson you’ve learned from working in your field?

A valuable lesson I’ve learned is that impact isn’t defined by a role or title, but by how intentionally you show up and use the tools available to advocate, problem‑solve, and serve others. My clinical work taught me that meaningful change begins with ensuring patients feel seen, heard, and respected, while my experiences in leadership and clinical applications reinforced that systems and technology are an extension of patient care, not separate from it.

What guidance or words of wisdom would you share with those who want to follow a similar path to yours?

For those who want to follow a similar path, my guidance is to stay grounded in strong clinical practice while remaining open to growth beyond traditional roles that allow your impact to extend beyond direct care. Be curious about how systems, technology, and workflows shape patient care, and don’t hesitate to step into spaces where you can help improve them. Embrace change and seek out ways to innovate in service of patients and clinicians alike. Lastly, amplify your impact by investing in others; share what you learn, mentor with intention, and work collaboratively.
