Home-Based Care Outlook 2025 describes an industry that is still feeling pressure from staffing, reimbursement, and regulation, but is entering 2025 with rising optimism as providers focus on strategic growth and technology-enabled efficiency. Staffing remains the biggest challenge at 55%, margins are essentially split three ways with 36% expecting them to stay the same and 32% each expecting them to rise or fall, and 50% of respondents say Medicare Advantage is negatively affecting margins. Growth plans are centered on expanding existing locations, strengthening referral partnerships, and investing in technology that improves operational processes, documentation, patient outcomes, and cost control, while the report also notes that many providers are only mostly confident when entering a compliance audit or survey.
