Amedisys, which operates more than 500 care centers across 39 states, chose HCHB Smart Scheduling because it is fully integrated into Homecare Homebase and preserves the same order and service-code rules already used in their workflow. The organization says Smart Scheduling helped improve caregiver optimization and automation, with about 70% of all home health visits now scheduled through the tool, more than 2.2 million visits successfully scheduled so far, and roughly 40% of the scheduling workflow automated. Amedisys also says the biggest gain has been continuity of care, which has remained stable and in some locations improved despite staffing challenges, while freeing coordinators to focus more on urgent scheduling needs like admissions.
