Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri adopted HCHB Smart Scheduling after staffing challenges forced the agency to scale back, turn down referrals, and watch census decline, and leadership says the technology helped them rebuild capacity and better understand how many patients they could accept at the appropriate level of care. The agency reports that Smart Scheduling effectively replaced a full-time scheduler, reduced scheduling stress for office staff and clinicians, allowed schedules to be planned by Friday for Monday, and helped shift resources back into the field, contributing to a 15% increase in monthly ADC to more than 200 patients. VNASEMO also says adding HCHB Patient Visit Reminder texts reduced missed visits, improved confirmation rates and family communication in its rural service area, helped clinicians stay accountable to planned schedules, and supported more visits earlier in the week instead of being pushed to Friday or the weekend.
